What's included
- Pre-paid hours with a UK CIPD-qualified HR consultant. Used for whatever you need, when you need it.
- Typical use: policy tweaks, contract reviews, ER queries (grievances, performance, conduct), manager coaching, letters and playbooks, onboarding setup, redundancy planning.
- Hours tracked in 15-minute increments for calls and short emails (rounded up). Scheduled meetings and video sessions tracked in 30-minute blocks.
- Balance summary on request. Contact us anytime to ask how many hours you've used and how many remain, or ask your allocated consultant.
- UK HR advisory only. Not legal advice. For formal legal matters, we'll honestly point you to a specialist.
Why a pack of hours instead of a monthly retainer?
Monthly retainers either force you to use the hours or lose them or they auto-bill whether you need help or not. A pre-paid pack puts you in control.

Choose a 5, 10 or 20-hour pack — the price for each is shown in the selector above. The bigger packs give you a better effective rate per hour. All packs are valid for 12 months from purchase.

Quick setup
Tell us your company, primary contact and email. We'll acknowledge within 1 business day with a welcome email with your consultant introduction, how to book time and how we track hours.

Use your hours when you need them
Email or schedule when something comes up. We track time as it's used and email a balance summary on request. When hours run low or 60 days before the 12-month expiry, we'll prompt you to top up.
Which pack to choose
- 5-hour pack — a flexible starting point to get a feel for how you use the hours.
- 10-hour pack — a better effective hourly rate than the 5-hour pack, for steadier ongoing needs.
- 20-hour pack — our best effective hourly rate, for teams that know they'll lean on regular HR support across the year.
Larger packs reward commitment with a better effective rate per hour. You can start small and size up by buying another block anytime to add more hours. Each block is valid for 12 months from its own purchase date.
What hours are typically used for
- Policy and document reviews Second opinion on offer letters, contracts, handbook updates and restructure documents.
- ER queries Grievances, performance issues, conduct concerns, sickness management and return-to-work planning.
- Manager coaching Preparing for tricky conversations, performance reviews and capability hearings.
- Onboarding setup Building hiring playbooks, induction frameworks and probation processes.
- Letters and playbooks Drafting one-off letters such as return-to-work letters, formal warnings and settlement correspondence, or templates you'll reuse internally.
What's not included
- Formal legal advice or litigation services — for these we'll honestly point you to a solicitor.
- High-volume payroll processing or immigration casework.
- A same-day or emergency response line — we aim to acknowledge within one working day, but On-Tap isn't built for same-day crisis cover.
12-month validity, with a reminder. Each block of hours is valid for 12 months from its own purchase date. We'll email 60 days before a block expires to remind you of any unused balance, so nothing is lost silently. If you buy another block, that new block carries its own fresh 12-month validity.
How we track time, plainly. Calls and short emails are tracked in 15-minute increments, rounded up, so a 5-minute call uses 15 minutes of your balance. Scheduled meetings and video sessions are tracked in 30-minute blocks. We track in good faith and send a balance summary on request.
Changed your mind? Cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, as long as no hours have been used and no consultation has taken place. After that your purchase is non-refundable, but your hours stay available for the full 12-month validity. Full details in our Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy.
